Pavers in Boynton Beach, FL

Boynton has a lot of housing from the seventies and eighties, and the original concrete driveways on those homes are now well past the point where patching helps. That is the single most common call we take from the city, usually from the neighborhoods off Woolbright Road and Congress Avenue.

Sprinkler staining is the most common thing we get called about in Boynton. Heads that throw onto a driveway instead of the lawn leave a rust-orange edge that will not wash off, and it shows up worse on the lighter pavers the 55-plus communities tend to approve. East of Federal Highway you get salt on top of it. Paver sealing locks the surface once it has been treated and re-sanded, and on a normal driveway the whole thing is done in a day. If a bad sprinkler head is the cause we will tell you, because sealing around one only buys time.

The flat lots in Boynton are what bring most of our paver repair calls. Water sits rather than runs, a downspout or an irrigation head washes sand out from under one area, and the surface follows it down. Paver leveling fixes that properly: lift the pavers, rebuild and recompact the base, relay the originals. Topping the joints up with sand looks like a fix for about a season. If drainage is the real cause we will say so, because otherwise the same dip comes back.
