Who you are hiring

Hero’s Pavers is run by Jorge Santos out of Lake Worth Beach. Jorge is on site for the work, not only for the sales call, and that is the reason the same few things keep turning up in our Google reviews: crews that arrive when they said they would, someone who answers the phone while the job is running, and a property left clean at the end of every day.

He has more than ten years in South Florida construction, and the company has been installing across Palm Beach County since 2020.

Why the base matters more than the paver

Hardscape in South Florida deals with conditions hardscape up north never sees. Sandy soil shifts. A summer storm drops more water in an hour than a badly graded patio can shed in a day. Sun fades cheap material, and salt air is hard on everything near the coast.

Most paver jobs that fail did not fail at the surface. They failed underneath, where somebody rushed the excavation or skipped compaction to save a day.

We spend our time on the part nobody sees, because that is the part that decides whether the job holds up.

Materials, honestly

We work in travertine, porcelain, marble and concrete pavers, and we will tell you which one suits your project rather than which one we would rather sell.

TravertineStays cool underfoot, which is what matters around a pool deck in July.
PorcelainHolds its colour and shrugs off stains. The best of the four under hard sun.
MarbleLooks expensive because it is. Softer, so we would keep it off a driveway.
ConcreteDoes the most work for the money on a driveway. The workhorse of the four.

The right choice depends on the space, how much sun it gets, and what you want to spend.

How a project runs

  1. 1A free on-site visitWe measure, look at how the ground drains, and talk through how you want to use the space.
  2. 2A written quoteIt names the materials, not just a number.
  3. 3Excavation and baseDug to depth, then compacted in lifts. This is the step that decides everything.
  4. 4InstallationPaver laying, cuts and edge restraint.
  5. 5Sand and cleanupJoint sand, a final compaction pass, and the site left clean.

A straightforward residential driveway usually takes two to three days. Pool decks and projects covering several areas run longer. You get the timeline before you commit, not after.
